A judge says the only way a man charged with stealing a wedding and engagement ring during a pre-Christmas burglary in Limavady will get bail will be if there is an address outside the town.
Padraig Brolly (19), of Rosseden Drive in the town, is alleged to have struck at O’Cahan Way on December 10 last year.
As well as the rings he is accused of taking prescription medication, two music speakers, a car key and a Ford Galaxy car which he is alleged to have driven whilst unfit.
Brolly is also charged with aggravated taking and causing damage to the car.
He is also accused of being disorderly at Rosseden Drive and interfering with a vehicle at Roe Mill Gardens, Limavady.
At Coleraine Magistrates Court on April 8 police objected to bail.
An officer said Brolly was previously convicted of attempted intimidation in another case and he had breached bail five times.
She said there was a high risk of offending.
District Judge Peter King refused bail and the case was adjourned to April 29.
