Archibald condemns Limavady burglary

East Derry MLA Caoimhe Archibald has urged anyone with information regarding a burglary of a pensioner’s home in Shanreagh Park in Limavady to bring it forward to the PSNI.

The 78-year-old woman’s home was burgled with various items of sentimental jewellery stolen while she was in hospital undergoing brain surgery.

Caoimhe Archibald said:

“There is no place for incidents like this in our society.

“It was a disgusting incident and the community in Limavady are genuinely shocked about what has happened.

“Eldery people should feel safe and secure in their homes and I would remind everyone of the need to be extra vigilant at this time.

“I would urge anyone with any information at all relating to this crime to bring it to the PSNI to assist with their investigation.
