“Stormont is a mess and the current shambles is going to continue if you vote for the same parties who preside over such a crisis prone government. Isn’t it time to ask why? This dysfunctional system is incapable of giving you the good government you deserve. Are you willing to settle for and vote for more of the same?
“Maintaining Sinn Fein at the heart of government who have no desire to make Stormont work, is the fundamental reason why we lurch from one crisis to the next. Sinn Fein are still under instruction from its IRA Army council, while the IRA is still in existence and have access to weapons.
“It is their objective to make Northern Ireland fail as an entity and to remove all things British under the guise of equality. Equality is the Trojan horse of Sinn Fein’s republican agenda as commented by Gerry Adams. “The point is to actually break these b#######s – that’s the point. And what’s going to break them is equality, that’s the Trojan horse of the entire republican strategy is to reach out to people on the basis of equality.”
“A system that allows Sinn Fein into government as of right will never work, and if that cannot be fixed, Stormont will never work and we would be better off without it!
“With the present structures incapable of working, it is time to sweep aside the debris of failure and seek devolution that is durable and workable. In this case, British ministers should step in and take control of Executive positions. It would be better to have a new form of direct rule which is accountable to the Assembly instead of Sinn Fein rule!
“TUV propose that this time, direct rule ministers be held accountable by having their laws pass through the Assembly and scrutinised by your local MLAs. This insures your voice and concerns are raised and makes it more difficult to pass laws that are not good for Northern Ireland. This is not the ideal solution, but at least this would provide government which can deliver on day to day issues and bring stability. This is TUV’s positive vision to get Northern Ireland back on track.”
