Armstrong Medical In Line For Expansion

Armstrong Medical based in Coleraine has announced a £5m expansion plan which will create 25 jobs.

The company was established in 1984 to manufacture and sell respiratory disposable products for critical care applications.

The company lodged plans this month for a new logistical warehouse and manufacturing facility.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community News, DUP MLA Maurice Bradley, who lives within a couple of hundred yards from the factory said: “This is great news. It’s not that many years ago I took photographs for the press of the factory virtually destroyed by fire and to see it’s continued growth and success is down to the hard work of the owner, his staff and the quality of product on offer to the market.

“Armstrong Medicals is a bench-mark to what can be achieved by local Northern Ireland businesses and they have achieved their success largely by their own hard work and dedication.

“This expansion also brings with it the prospect of increased employment to the area by the firm whose headquarters are at Wattstown, just outside Coleraine.

“It is great to comment on what is a good news story for Armstrong Medicals, for Coleraine, and investment in employment in the Borough.
