Arrest warrant for teen charged with Portrush robbery

An arrest warrant was issued at Coleraine Magistrates Court on July 8 for a 17-year-old charged with a robbery in Portrush.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, is accused – according to the charge sheet – of robbing jewellery to the value of £2,375.

He also faces a charge of possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – with intent to commit an offence.
The charges are linked to a robbery in November last year at a shop.

A defence solicitor said the defendant is living in England and added: “We have not heard from the defendant”.
