Auction To Raise Funds For Rhys Mullan from Magilligan who is receiving treatment for 3rd degree burns following a house fire on Boxing Day

An auction of photographs, canvas prints and sporting memorabilia is being held on Sunday 5th February in the Sperrin Club, Lower Newmills Road, Coleraine to raise funds for 9 year old Rhys Mullan from Magilligan who has spent the last 5 weeks in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children receiving treatment for 3rd degree burns following a house fire at Seacoast Road on Boxing Day. 3

Viewing will be from 2 – 4pm with the auction kicking off at 5pm. Among the items up for grabs will be a Liverpool shirt signed by the whole team, a Northern Ireland top signed by the  Captain of the team Steven Davis and a Manchester United top signed by Harry Gregg MBE.

There are also various prints and shirts, all signed from NW200 competitors including Ian Hutchinson, Alastair Seeley and the Dunlop brothers.

In total the organisers have received over 60 items to be auctioned as well as almost 20 items to be used as raffle prizes.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community “The family would like to thank everyone who has donated towards the auction and raffle….too many to thank individually but each and every item donated is very much appreciated.  There have also been 2 items donated for Bonus Ball Draws and again the family would like to say a huge thanks for the very generous donations.”

The money raised from the event will go towards some special outings and treats for Rhys as he faces a long road to recovery.
