Shane Kinney (23), who caused the death of his cousin and a second man in a three car smash in April 2015 was sentenced to over four years in prison today. He was given a nine year sentence, half of which will be spent in jail.
Shane Kinney, admitted racing his cousin on 6 April 2015 on the Cushendall Road in Ballycastle which killed him and another man.
Shane McKinney’s parents also pleaded guilty as they tried to help their son hide evidence of his involvement in the crash.
Kevin Kinney (52) was sentenced to six months in prison as part of a year sentence. Sharon Kinney (50) was given a nine-month sentence suspended for two years.
The two men that were killed were Johnny Black (19), from Ballycastle, and Robin Wilson (26), from Armoy.
