Detectives are appealing for information following a report of burglary at residential premises at the Church Road area of Ballycastle on Tuesday 27th August.

Detective Inspector McKenna said: “Sometime between 2pm and 8:15pm, it was reported that entry was gained into a house in the area and the property was subsequently ransacked. It is believed that a quantity of jewellery and a sum of money were taken during the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 2038 27/08/19. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
