Ballycastle pedestrian crossing upgrade welcomed

1 Mins read

Ballycastle Sinn Féin Councillor, Cara McShane, has welcomed a refresh and upgrade of the pedestrian crossing on Castle Street in the town.

Cllr Cara McShane discussed the crossing with Roads Service officials recently after being contacted by local residents and motorists raising issues that road markings at the crossing have faded.

Cllr McShane said : “The lines at the crossing on Castle Street have faded over recent times, making the crossing increasingly dangerous.

“While footfall is less at this point, the crossing is in need of an upgrade to enhance pedestrian safety and also give motorists more visibility of this crossing. I am delighted that the works will take place within the next few months.”
