Big-hearted Bushmills man, Peter Parke, is extending a unique and warm invitation this Christmas.
Peter, a dad of two who works in Dunelm Mill, Coleraine, feels “blessed” with his life and is concerned that so many others may not be looking forward to the festive occasion.
“I’m thinking of those less fortunate, maybe they’re lonely, perhaps elderly with no real reason to look forward to Christmas Day.”
He continued, “I’m extending an invitation to join me and Darius (16) and Deanna (14) for dinner on the big day. The kids are quite excited about it, we’re offering company and a good Christmas dinner cooked by me. There are people who fit into this category, they want a bit of companionship and a bit of chat on Christmas Day, and who knows,” he enthused, “who knows what I’ll do next year. This could well be just the start.”
If you know of anyone who might like to take Peter up on his thoughtful and generous offer, take a look at his Facebook page and contact him through that page.
Causeway Coast Community wishes Peter, his family and his guests a Happy Christmas!
