NI motorcyclist Jamie Hamilton from Ballyclare has publicly paid tribute to the NHS, recalling his own experiences when he was critically injured in 2015 whilst competing in the Senior TT on the Isle of Man.
Jamie Hamilton was heading to the podium when he crashed at 170mph and sustained life-changing injuries.
An off duty A&E nurse was enjoying a day off at the races and came to Jamie’s aid. He has since credited her with saving his life. He is now asking the public to support the ‘Causeway Chefs 4 NHS’ initiative who are raising funds for ‘NI Scrubs Causeway Coast’ a volunteer group making protective wear for front line health care workers.
This 100 strong group are sewing day and night and are inundated with orders from front line workers from hospitals, care homes, doctor surgeries and pharmacies.
Seven Chefs are cooking over two weeks and in return asking for donations to their Just Giving Page – Causeway Chefs 4 NHS.
Cooking demonstrations are broadcast on Causeway Coast Community News Facebook page with recipes available to download.
