1 Mins read

A body has been recovered from the harbour area of Carrickfergus following the search for missing Ballymoney woman Denise Glenn.

It is understood Ms Glen went missing whilst spending a weekend in the town.

Councillor Darryl Wilson said ‘Once again the town has been plunged into sadness as we learn that Denise Glen has passed away.

Denise was a lovely girl well known in the local area, she will be very sadly missed by her family, friends, work colleagues and the entire community.

Can I pass on my deepest sympathies to all impacted by this awful tragedy.’

Taking to social media this evening Jonathan Crawford said ‘Today my heart was ripped apart.

Our family has lost a special person under the most awful circumstances. I have lost a friend and a mother figure in my Auntie Denise. Sleep easy.’

It is understood that the police are not treating the death as suspicious.
