Bushmills Man Charged With Robbing Coleraine Filling Station

A Bushmills man appeared in court on Friday charged with stealing almost £1,000 in cash and a quantity of tobacco in connection with a robbery at a filling station in Coleraine on Wednesday night.

Kyle Parke (27), of Heronshaw, is accused of robbing a filling station at Bushmills Road of £975 cash and a quantity of tobacco.

He is also accused of possession of an offensive weapon – a knife – with intent to commit a robbery.

The defendant is further accused of an assault on police.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court where the defendant was remanded in custody at Maghaberry .

The matter was adjourned to February 4.
