1 Mins read

A man charged with ‘unlawfully and maliciously wounding’ a man during an alleged incident in Portballintrae has had his case sent to Antrim Crown Court.

Ian Parke (29), of Heronshaw, Bushmills, is accused in relation to Saturday April 7 last year.

During a Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send a case to the higher court – at Coleraine Magistrates Court on January 28 a prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the papers before the court there was a case to answer.
Defence solicitor John Murphy said he had no contrary submissions.

District Judge Liam McNally held there was a case to answer and sent the case to Antrim Crown Court for arraignment on February 26.
