‘Caring Caretaker’ Davy Boyle MBE, Presents £38,900 to Charity

David Boyle MBE also known as the ‘Caring Caretaker’ handed out £38,900 this evening to his chosen charities.

David hosted his presentation at the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine with a large number of sponsors, guests and supporters in attendance.

David presented the charities with the following amounts:

Cancer Research UK £7000
Community Rescue Service £7000
Prostate Cancer UK £7000
Age Concern £7000
Coleraine District Smartians £7000
Causeway Tandem Club £1,300
Coleraine Street Pastors 1,300
Aware NI £1,300

Speaking at the presentation evening, Davy thanked a number of people including; Rev Robert McMullan, Colin & Jennifer Bond, Moores Of Coleraine, Darren Pollock, Denis McNeill, Geoffrey Moffett, Kevin McAuley, Hannah Reid, Paul Gibson, Chief Inspector Ian Magee and all at Coleraine Police Station, Causeway Coast Community, local Councilors and MLA’s, Gregory Campbell MP, Hugo Duncan, Coleraine Times, The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine Chronicle, Our Coleraine Christmas Radio and supporting local restaurants & cafes.

David went onto thank his family and wife Theresa and most importantly to all those who made donations at the BIG breakfast, Jail and Bail and the annual sit-out.

David concluded announcing his charities for next year which are :

Northern Ireland hospice
MacMillan Cancer Support
Alzheimers society
Community Rescue Service
Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund
Friends Of The Cancer Centre
Prostate Cancer UK
Charlene’s Project

In total, over the years David Boyle MBE has raised £630,471.25
