Causeway Chamber was delighted to welcome Mr Ian McCafferty, Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England to the Causeway Coast.  As part of this visit the Bank of England in partnership with Causeway Chamber were delighted to offer members the opportunity to attend a business breakfast with Mr. McCafferty on Tuesday 25th October.

The purpose of the visit was to enable the Bank of England to share the Monetary Policy Committee’s view on the economy with business leaders in Northern Ireland and in turn to hear from them about their current experience of business conditions.

Participants spoke enthusiastically of the value of the information received from the presentation and highlighted particularly their appreciation for the updates from the Monetary Policy Committee and the opportunity to network with many other businesses from across the Borough.

Chamber President, Anthony Newman said, “In today’s economic climate, it is becoming increasingly important for local businesses to be fully aware of economic trends to assist them in their forward planning.
