Charges dismissed following alleged golf club incident

A man who had previously pleaded not guilty to charges of making a threat to kill; possessing a golf club as an offensive weapon and attempted criminal damage to a vehicle has had the charges dismissed.

Gary Moore (30), of Greenmount Avenue in Coleraine, had been charged in relation to July 18 last year.

The case was listed as a contest at Coleraine Magistrates Court on August 5 but a prosecutor said the alleged injured party was contacted by police and said he did not wish to come to court.

That being the case the prosecutor said they were offering no evidence in the case and Deputy District Judge Austin Kennedy dismissed the charges.
