Charlene Dickey Wins Supervalu Supermums 2016

1 Mins read

Back in May of this year Supervalu was on the hunt for the best Supermum in Northern Ireland.  Anyone was able to nominate a mum for the competition, or mothers could have nominated themselves, with the winner receiving a fantastic family trip to Disneyland Paris, courtesy of Clubworld Travel. Finalists gathered last night at Stomont, hosted by TV personality Claire McCollum.

In a social media post this morning the winner of the competition and mum of three from Coleraine said :

“Believe me it doesn’t happen very often, but last night I was left completely speechless and humbled to be chosen as the winner of Supervalu NI Supermums 2016.

Honestly I actually fell into the knee of the store manager when they called my name. So many unbelievable and inspirational mums in the Great Hall, I never for a second thought I would win.

When I woke up I had to make sure it wasn’t all a dream before telling two very excited boys that thanks to their sneaky auntie Shona nominating me that I’d won…. Strangely enough they seemed to be more excited when I told them that me winning this award means they are heading off to Disneyland.”
