Sinn Féin councillor, and member of the local PCSP, Brenda Chivers has welcomed a decrease in anti-socal behaviour in the Limavady area.
Cllr. Chivers said “I welcome the proof in the statistics that Anti-social behaviour is down. It is important that the town gives off a positive impression to potential investors and this news will not do that any harm.”
“However car thefts have increased this year but most of these are cases where a family member has taken the car without permission.”
She added “In the run up to Christmas there will be an increased police presence on our roads, through checkpoints and breathalysing, to deter potential drink drivers and the like. I would hope this would would put off anyone who may be tempted to drink and drive.”
