Enjoy the true spirit of Christmas this year at Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre in Limavady. The Arts Centre has a host of wonderful festive events lined up for everyone to sample a little bit of festive cheer.

The annual screening of Disney’s contemporary blockbuster Frozen Sing-along returns on Saturday 10th December at 2pm. Everyone is encouraged to sing their hearts out and fancy dress is also very welcome. Film characters Elsa and Olaf will also be on hand to meet and greet children in the venue.

Children aged 7-12 will be able to enjoy a pre-screening Frozen art workshop from 11am-1.30pm. Advance booking for both the film screening and workshop are essential as both events are extremely popular.

The Christmas Post Box will be at The Arts Centre from 28th November, where children can post their letters to Santa in anticipation of Christmas morning. This will also give the children a chance to admire all the sparkling, festive decorations made in workshops throughout November.

Warm up to the festive fortnight with a superb evening courtesy of Dublin-based singer Emilie Conway and her quartet who present ‘Zat You Santa Claus? Emilie Conway’s Jazz and Jingle Bells Christmas Concert’ on Thursday 15th December at 8pm. Named after the classic song by Louis Armstrong, Emilie and her band will entertain you with a magical evening of stories and songs on how the jazz greats spent their Christmas holidays. In addition, this concert will be cabaret style and is a ‘bring your own’ event.

Now a time honoured tradition at the Arts Centre, everyone is welcome to the annual screening of It’s a Wonderful Life on Saturday, 17th December at 2pm. Directed by the wonderful Frank Capra, this 1946 award-winning classic is now hailed as one of the finest festive films ever made. With complimentary non-alcoholic mulled wine and mince pies, this is one fantastic way to escape the shopping frenzy for an afternoon of Christmas cinema bliss! Speaking of shopping, if you’re looking for that unique and special gift, come along to the Christmas Promotion days on Saturday 3rd December, 9.30am-5pm, Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December, 5pm – 9.30pm for 10% minimum off crafts and retail.

There will also be complimentary seasonal refreshments to get you in the festive mood! Arts Centre Gift Vouchers are also available, offering someone special a wonderful cultural experience in 2017. For more unique shopping, the Limavady Christmas Artisan Market returns to Drumceatt Square on Friday 16th December from 11am – 4pm.
