Cllr Angela Mulholland thanks the Translink management team and staff for their tremendous work in keeping communities moving during the Covid 19 Crisis.

Cllr Angela Mulholland attended a meeting earlier today via Microsoft Teams and was updated on the many initiatives currently being developed to help keep people safe coming out lockdown. Additional services are being put in place to allow for social distancing guidelines and there are still ongoing talks around ppe protection for customers.

During this time Translink have seen a 95% drop in passenger numbers but it was welcoming news reported today that the northwest line was up 10% from last week and the Portrush line by 24%. Signs of numbers rising are definitely going the right way. The enhancement of services, including the 402, 140 service will continue from Monday 28th June and timetables are being reviewed to reflect these new services.

Translink will continue to work with the local PSNI and local businesses to ensure the health and safety of all passengers remains a priority.
