Cllr Wilson continues to lobby government departments for long overdue investment at Dark Hedges

1 Mins read

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this evening Councillor Darryl Wilson said “Unfortunately in recent weeks the dark hedges has seen an increased amount of rubbish being dumped on the road and along the verges. I have contacted council staff who will clear the area immediately.

Incidents like these only strengthen the argument to see infrastructural works take place at the iconic site immediately to help protect and preserve this natural phenomenon which is being destroyed before our very eyes.

Council have no power to make changes to traffic flow/parking on the road, however we will continue to lobby government departments (infrastructure and tourism) to see long overdue changes take place.”
