Coastguard assist with rescue of Injured Walker at Runkerry Strand

Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to Runkerry Strand  at 7:20pm on Monday 22nd August the in support of the Ambulance Service who had received a 999 report of a walker with a leg injury.

The casualty was quickly located and stabilised by a Rapid Response Paramedic, before being evacuated by the Coastguard Team on a stretcher.

The casualty was then transferred by the Coastguard to a waiting ambulance.
