Vehicle rescued from incoming tide at Benone

1 Mins read
BT Coleraine

Coleraine coastguard was tasked to Benone this evening to assist a vehicle that had become stuck in soft sand. It is the second call out to this location within days of a previous warning.

A post on the Coleraine Coastguard facebook page read “For the second time this weekend the team was tasked to a car stuck on Benone Strand close to Magilligan Point with the tide coming in.

We want to again say that, with the current stay at home and local exercise policy, there is no excuse to be driving on the local beaches.

STAY AT HOME”
