Cold callers ‘attempting’ to sell knives in Ballymoney

Police received reports yesterday of cold callers operating in the Ballymoney area.

A police spokesperson said ‘It was alleged that they were going from door to door attempting to sell knives. If you do not know the person at your door please don’t let them in.

Please call 101 and report any suspicious behaviour.’

Councillor Darryl Wilson said ‘If you have a vulnerable neighbour and you see strangers calling and it doesn’t feel right please ring the police or call over and check on your neighbour.

If you have relatives that live alone and you are concerned re cold callers please call to your local PSNI station and pick up one of the below forms that can be placed at the front door.’
