Coleraine Crafters’ Christmas Lunch

1 Mins read

Local crafters in the Coleraine area got together recently to celebrate another year of successful crafting for the community, with support from the Housing Executive.

The cross community Crafts with Love Club saw 45 women from across the community enjoy Christmas lunch in the Lodge Hotel, followed by music and singing.

A spokesperson from the group said: “Crafts with Love would like to thank the Housing Executive and Radius Housing for funding our Christmas celebration event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

“It was a lovely way to reward the ladies who worked hard throughout the year by providing a safe comfortable venue in the local community, for tutored craft workshops.

“Our handmade crafts were sold, with 100% of the proceeds supporting children’s charities worldwide.”

Radius Housing, through their T:BUC Coleraine Shared housing scheme, also supported Craft with Love’s Christmas Lunch.

Melanie Rintoul from Radius Housing said: “This cross-community group provide friendship and skills throughout the year via their weekly meetings as well as supporting charities through the sale of their work. Congratulations and thank you to all.”

Housing Executive Good Relations Officer, Gareth Doran, said: “Crafts with Love provide a welcome haven for any residents interested in handicrafts across the Coleraine area. Their skills have greatly improved with the tutored workshops.”
