Coleraine Eason’s Manager Asked Staff Member To Remove Their Poppy

At the weekend a social media post with over 100 comments gained alot of attention regarding Eason’s employees banned from wearing a poppy whilst on duty.

This morning the Coleraine Chronicle confirmed in a report that a manager was unaware of the guidelines of wearing poppies and ‘had mistakenly asked a member of staff to remove theirs’.

The paper went onto say that they understand an investigation has been launched over the ‘genuine oversight’ and the manager will be briefed on company policy.
