BT Coleraine

A Coleraine man who walked into the home of his ex-partner from ten years ago put her in fear of violence before he was removed from the property by the woman’s son.

However, Christopher Gaile (56), of Burnside Park, returned 45 minutes later and banged on a window.

When police arrived he swore and shouted.

A defence barrister told Coleraine Magistrates Court on April 29 the defendant’s memory of the incident was limited by a combination of alcohol and a medical condition.

Gaile was in breach of a suspended sentence and he was given a five months jail term, suspended for three years.
