John Patrick Miller, originally from Coleraine but more recently with an address at Redford Park in Dungannon is to serve a minimum of 16 years of his life sentence in prison for the murder of his former fiancée Charlotte Murray, a court heard this morning.
In a unanimous decision in October of last year, a jury found Johnny Miller guilty of the ‘cold, calculating murder’ between 31 October and 2 November 2012 but her body has never been found. Miller has always denied murdering his then 34-year-old fiancée when she disappeared from their then Roxborough Heights home in Moy, Co Tyrone.
In recent days the family of Charlotte Murray have called for a change in the law that would prevent killers from getting parole who won’t reveal where their victim’s body is.
