Coleraine Road Traffic Collision : Pensioner Named Locally

The man who died after a road traffic accident outside Coleraine yesterday afternoon on the Curragh Road has been named locally as Jim McCollum. Mr McCollum was a farmer from Blagh just outside of the town.

Mr McCollum died at the scene after his Landrover jeep he was driving was in collision with a tree shortly after 3pm.

Inspector Purvis has asked anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which could assist the police investigation to contact officers at the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference number 753 07/03/17. The road remains closed at this time.

UUP Councillor William McCandless extended his sympathy to the family this morning.
