COLERAINE : Teenager arrested on suspicion of threats to damage property

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of threats to damage commercial property at Bridge Street in Coleraine.

Sergeant Michael O’Loan said: “Last night, Wednesday, 23 August, Police arrested a 15 year old male youth on suspicion of Threats to Damage Property. He was released pending a report to the PPS.”

Another youth was returned to his parents and has been reported to the Youth Diversion Officer.

Commenting on the report from Sergeant O’Loan, Councillor McCandless said that he was pleased to see this prompt and efficient response by the PSNI and he congratulated them and hopes that future offenders will be apprehended in the coming weeks.

Councillor McCandless went onto say that the attitude of threatening behaviour cannot and must not be tolerated.
