A new Post Office has opened in Coleraine, over ten years after the blow of two closures, bringing back essential services to the area.

The branch, which has opened within SPAR Millburn Road will provide services such as personal banking, bill payments, postage and travel money, while also benefitting from the store’s extended opening hours (6am to Midnight 7 days a week) and 45 free car parking spaces.

Post Office Manager Claire Gaston says the Post Office plays a vital part in the local community; “Our services are very important to local shoppers, therefore it’s great to be back in this area, located within one of the town’s busiest grocery stores, SPAR Millburn.

“With many bank branches closing, the Post Office is there to help with personal banking, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, as well as helping with postage and pickups during the store opening hours.”

Peter Shields, Post Office Area Manager added; “The closure of two Post Offices in Cloyfin and the Millburn area of Coleraine back in 2008 was a huge blow to the local community. However, 11 years later there is substantial demand for a Post Office and its variety of services in the town centre, and it’s fantastic to be able to house the service in our Millburn Road store.”

The new Millburn Post Office branch is available seven days a week from 6am to midnight and provides a wide range of both personal and business services.
