Commercial Bins Set On Fire In Articlave

1 Mins read
BT Coleraine

Police are appealing for information after wheelie bins were set on fire outside Chequers in Articlave in the early hours of this morning.

Speaking To Causeway Coast Community Claire Sugden MLA said “The Chequers brand has been steadily growing throughout the North Coast and is doing particularly well in Articlave since coming to the village a couple of years ago.

Speaking to Chequers, the damage caused has cost them a lot of money which is now lost to further growth of their business.

This behaviour is disappointing for Chequers and the community. People in Articlave and Castlerock work hard to support and promote local businesses, so it’s sad that this has happened. Young families and older people living in this area are understandably upset. Thankfully, this behaviour isn’t common in Articlave and will not be tolerated by the community, so if anyone has any information, please contact Police on 101 as soon as possible.”
