Consultation Opened Regarding Parking Places, Loading Bays and Waiting Restrictions On Lower Mountsandel Road & Strand Road

A consultation period has opened regarding the parking places, Loading Bays and Waiting Restrictions (Coleraine) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011 by the addition of no waiting restrictions on lengths of Mountsandel Road, Coleraine  and by lengthening and amending the hours of operation of an existing waiting restriction on Strand Road.

A penalty charge (£90) is payable with respect to a vehicle involved in a contravention of the Order in accordance with the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 and The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006. Traffic signs indication the effect of the Order will in due course be placed on the roads.

Commenting on the consultation Councillor  William McCandless said

“This is a reminder to all who have been in touch with me throughout 2018 concerning the parking issues on lengths of road in Coleraine namely the lower Mountsandel Rd and Strand Rd.

The consultation opened on 18/12/18 and will close on 14/1/19 17:00.
DFI are proposing waiting restrictions on these lengths of road between 8:00 and 17:30 Monday to Saturday inclusive.”

Full details are contained in the draft Order which together with maps showing the roads involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at the Department’s address as follows:
