Councillor Adrian McQuillan has been suspended from the Democratic Unionist Party for a period of six months according to Cloonavin sources due to internal discipline following the recent election.
A DUP spokesperson said, “The party does not comment on internal party matters.”
We have reached out to the council for comment in regards to Adrian’s position as a councillor but they have yet to respond.
Since publication of this article Cllr. McQuillan insists he will continue to deliver for constituents during his suspension but refused to comment on whether he was considering quitting the DUP and becoming an independent councillor.
