Councillor Stephanie Quigley, on behalf of the local Street Pastors, was delighted to receive a gift of torches from the local PSNI.
In her role as President of Coleraine Street Pastors, Stephanie said,
“The Street Pastors team continue to grow from strength to strength. There is incredible commitment, courage and care as, week after week, we are on the streets in our local area, to help those who are at their most vulnerable in the early hours of the morning. We have countless stories where we know the ending of the story would have been so different without the kindness and intervention of a Street Pastor.”
Donna Bowden, PSNI, continues,
“As Neighbourhood Inspector I recognise the street pastors are a partnership that has grown and grown. They are on the streets in wind, rain and hail and at times long after the police have been stood down at weekends. It gives me great pleasure to be able to offer these torches so we can continue to compliment the work that each of us do in keeping our communities safe.”
