Councillor Trevor Clarke Attends CRS Fund-raising Group

BT Coleraine

Coleraine Councillors Trevor Clarke and Russel Watton attended a meeting this evening aimed at raising awareness and support for the Community Rescue Service.

Cllr Clarke said: “If you can help as fundraising of the CRS support team your commitment need only be a couple of hours a month. Nothing onerous and you only give your time if you are available. This isn’t a front line role but it vital in ensuring the search and rescue volunteers can fulfil their duties.”

As an example of where your fundraising will go…..over the last 24 hours, the CRS have had a number of callouts throughout the Province. These callouts required numerous vehicles, boats, torches, waterproof clothing, life jackets, helmets etc. all in an effort to ensure those missing and vulnerable are returned to their loved ones.

The Community Rescue Service – helping keep our communities safe.
