Councillor Wilson deeply saddened by local road fatality

The Finvoy Road in Ballymoney was closed early this morning between the junctions of Lasagan Road & Burn Qtr Rd due to a serious road traffic accident.

A police spokesperson said “A woman has died as a result of a 1 vehicle RTC on the Finvoy road in Ballymoney in the early hours of this morning.  The road is still closed between the junctions of the Lislagan Road and Burnquarter Road with limited access to the Drumlee Road.”

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this morning, Ulster Unionist Darryl Wilson said ” I was deeply saddened to learn that this morning’s road traffic collision on the Finvoy line has resulted in a fatality.

Thus news has been a devastating blow for a local family and indeed the entire community.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to all impacted by this tragic incident.”

There are no further details at this stage.
