Councillors agree to provide section of a cemetery to accommodate Muslim burials

At this evening’s Environmental Services Committee Councillors agreed to provide a section of a cemetery to accommodate Muslim burials.

The proposed location is within Coleraine Cemetery which would meet the needs for the next 20 years + (8 to 10 burials per year).

The item of business was proposed by Alderman Boyle & seconded by Councillor Bateson.

The final decision will go before full council next month.
