County Antrim collision sees child airlifted to hospital

A child has been airlifted to hospital by Air Ambulance following a serious road traffic collision outside Armoy in County Antrim.

The collision happened on the Pharis Road just before 7pm this evening and involved a tractor towing a silage trailer and a car.

Two other people were taken to the Causeway Hospital while two more are being treated at Antrim Area hospital.

Their conditions weren’t immediately known.

A sixth person was treated at the scene.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service dispatched four emergency crews, three rapid response paramedics and one doctor to the scene.

The charity Air Ambulance with HEMS crew on board was also tasked to the incident.
