COVID-19 : Delay to pupils finding out their new schools

1 Mins read
BT Coleraine

Children in P7 will have to wait until the 4th June before they learn which secondary school they will attend in September the Education Authority (EA) has said.

The EA said the delay was “due to the continued impact of Covid-19 on the delivery of key services”.

A spokesperson for EA said “Letters to parents/guardians will be issued by EA on behalf of post-primary schools to advise on the outcome of their child’s post primary application.

For help and advice, parents/guardians can contact our admissions helpdesk via email: [email protected]

No letters will not come from schools themselves.
