Sinn Féin Councillor Dermot Nicholl has requested a meeting with NI Water to discuss a recurring leak on the main road through Greysteel.
Cllr. Nicholl said “The leak has occured for the third time in less than a month on Monday evening.”
“On the previous occasions i contacted NI Water and I would like to thank them for their speedy response to the issue.”
“However it is a recurring issue and the danger it poses will only increase as we head into winter.”
“When there is alot of water covering the road it is causing motorists to slow down quite considerably which is leading to substantial tailbacks in the village.”
He added “In the meantime i would urge motorists and pedestrians to be carefull at the junction of Sheskin Road onto the main Clooney Road until the matter is resolved.”
