Deane’s Deadline Day deal!

1 Mins read

As expected, Gareth Deane has joined Coleraine on a permanent basis.

The goalkeeper has been on loan from Linfield and featured in the club’s three Europa League games.

As previously reported, both clubs had agreed to the move several weeks ago.

It has taken time but finally, on transfer deadline day, Deane has agreed personal terms.

The ‘keeper, manager Oran Kearney’s number one target, has signed a two year contract to move to the Showgrounds.

It comes as striker Emmet McGuckian leaves the club by mutual to consent.

McGuckian has found playing time limited despite regularly being in the match day squad.

“It’s been an amazing experience over the last year,” said McGuckian.

“It’s a great club who will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Caolan Brennan has also completed a loan move to Limavady United fresh from signing a two year deal with Coleraine on Saturday.

The exciting prospect will train with the Bannsiders on a Tuesday and train with Limavady on a Thursday.
