1 Mins read

Police are looking for your assistance in relation to the theft of a defibrillator from the Spar on the Coleraine Road Portstewart. This was stolen at 04:04 hours on Sunday the 27th November. CCTV shows it was stolen by two males who walked up the Coleraine Road in the direction Coleraine.

This is a piece of life saving equipment placed there for the safety of the entire community. This is the second time this has been stolen this month, it has recently been returned and unbelievably people have decided to steal it again. This device cost £1800 but the cost of someone in our community having access to it when it is needed, is priceless.

The consequences of this could be fatal.

If anyone saw this happen, please ring 101 quoting 463 dated 27/11/2016.
