Detectives are appealing for information following the report of six burglaries – three in the Ballymena area and three in the Derry/Londonderry area. Enquiries are at an early stage and one possible line of enquiry is that they may be linked.
Sums of cash were taken from five of the dwellings. It is unclear at the moment if anything has been taken from the property in Broughshane.
The burglaries in Derry/Londonderry occurred in Hampstead Park; Kylemore Park and Glenmore Park. They occurred sometime between 6pm and 9pm last night, Saturday, 4 February.
The burglaries in the Ballymena area occurred in Summerfield Street and Chichester Park Central and one occurred in Raceview Road, Broughshane. These burglaries occurred sometime between 6.00pm last night, Saturday, 4 February and 12.30am this morning, Sunday, 5 February.
Detective Inspector Bob Blemmings said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in any of these areas to please contact Detectives at Strand Road and Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
