Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information after a woman was robbed outside a commercial premises in Kilrea on Sunday, July 16.

At approximately 11.05pm, the female staff member was approached by two masked males armed with knives as she sat in her car outside the premises on the Garvagh Road. They demanded money before opening the woman’s car door and taking her handbag. The pair subsequently fled on foot towards Larchfield Drive.

Detective Sergeant Gallagher said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation. Detectives at Coleraine Criminal Investigation Branch can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference number 1446 16/07/17.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
