Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of a burglary in the town on Friday 5 April.
Detective Constable Marty McCaw said: “We received a report around 12:15pm that entry had been forced to a house in the Ashbourne Park area and a safe containing jewellery had been stolen.
“I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area on Friday, in particular in the Greenhall Highway area and saw any suspicious behaviour between 10:30am and midday to call us. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a car parked across the footpath on the Greenhall Highway.
“ I would also appeal to anyone who is offered a safe or jewellery for sale in suspicious circumstances to call detectives in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 460 of 05/04/19.”
Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
