Driver Admits Charges Following Incident In Which Vehicle ‘Reversed Into Unmarked Police Car’

A driver has admitted a number of charges in relation to an incident in which a vehicle allegedly reversed into an unmarked police car and was also driven on the wrong side of the road for a time.
Lauren Wilson (27), of Farranseer Park, Macosquin, has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at Ringrash Road; failing to stop for police and using a Volkswagen Jetta car without insurance.

She has also admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath.

The defendant has pleaded not guilty to absence of a driving licence; and resisting, obstructing and assaulting police. The charges relate to November 29, 2018.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court on December 31 and was adjourned to January 17.
