DUP representatives visit City of Derry Airport

George Robinson MLA along with party colleagues Gregory Campbell MP, Adrian McQuillan MLA and Gary Middleton MLA have visited the airport at Londonderry, this morning.

Mr Robinson said, “The purpose of today’s visit was to learn about the current situation with the airport and to establish what help they needed to ensure the £7 million from the Executive will be maximised for the benefit of the North West.

The airport management gave us a comprehensive briefing and tour of the facilities at Eglinton. I have no doubt that the airport can play an integral role in developing the North-West economy, so we must ensure best usage of the airport for passengers and possibly freight where possible.”

Concluding the East Londonderry MLA said, “With an asset of this value on our doorstep we must ensure it is used to its full potential.”
