East Londonderry DUP MLA Maurice Bradley has praised the quick actions and bravery of four police officers

East Londonderry DUP MLA Maurice Bradley has praised the quick actions and bravery of four police officers first on the scene of a fire around midnight in the Queen’s Park are of Coleraine last night.

Without thought for their own safety, they entered the property which was well alight at the time and managed to get one of the occupants safely out of the building.

He also praised the NIFRS mnwho were also quickly on the scene for rescuing a lady from the property as well.

Once again the rapid response from our emergency services has potentially saved lives.

What could have been a tragedy was averted and I would praise the emergency services who deal with any situation presented to them in a brave and professional way which enabled two people to be successfully rescued from the property and the fire brought under control.

It is my understanding that the residents of the house are currently in Causeway Hospital and my thoughts go out to them for a speedy recovery.
